This back-spacer is engineered to solve the inherent depth issue of IKEA Kallax shelves when used for vinyl record storage. Because a standard Kallax cube is deeper than a 12-inch record, albums inevitably get pushed back at uneven depths. This insert acts as a rigid rear bumper, ensuring all records stop at the exact same depth, presenting a perfectly aligned, flush front edge.

Optimized Positioning
The 40mm depth pushes the records forward just enough to make the spines highly visible and easily accessible. It leaves an optimal 35mm space in the front, fully compatible with our other accessories like A-Z dividers or display supports.

At only 15mm high, it provides a solid stopping barrier for the record sleeves without wasting vertical space.

Designed specifically for the internal width of standard IKEA Kallax shelving units.
Thoroughly wipe the dust off the shelf using a microfiber cloth. Then, wipe the contact area using only the included isopropyl alcohol wipe. DO NOT use furniture polish, window cleaners, or wet wipes (these leave chemical residues that destroy the tape's adhesion). Allow the surface to dry completely (approx. 30 seconds) before installing the product.
2Installation
Comes pre-applied with Tesa 4965 double-sided tape for an exceptionally strong bond. Peel the backing, place carefully aligned with the back edge of the shelf, with the 15mm raised section towards the front, and press firmly for 20 seconds.
3One-Time Application
Guaranteed for a single application only. Do not attempt to forcefully remove or reposition the unit after bonding, as this may result in structural damage to the PLA piece or tear the veneer of your shelf. Repositioning attempts and resulting damage are not covered by warranty.
Heat Sensitive
Manufactured from PLA plastic. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F) or prolonged direct sunlight. Keep away from heat sources (radiators, hot amplifiers, or receivers) to prevent irreversible warping or melting.
3D Printed Characteristics
Due to the nature of 3D printing, visible layer lines and minor surface textures are present. These are normal manufacturing characteristics and not considered defects.
Handling & Safety
While rigid, PLA can snap or crack if bent with excessive force or dropped. Handle with care. This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children and pets (broken pieces can become choking or injury hazards). Packaging contains rubber (latex). Please recycle responsibly.
